TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The game Upin & Ipin Universe, launched on Thursday, July 17, 2025, can be played on PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, as well as PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game, adapted from the famous Malaysian animation, is priced at Rp579,000 on PlayStation and up to Rp654,452 on Steam and other platforms.
The product, made by Streamline Studios and Les' Copaque Production, has been promoted since the first quarter of this year. A short preview of the game was featured on the Upin & Ipin Universe YouTube channel last July. The teaser video depicted the atmosphere of Kampung Durian Runtuh, the environment where the characters live.
For PS4 and PS5 consoles, the game has been distributed to several countries in Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In Europe, it has been sold in England, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. In the Americas, the Upin & Ipin Universe game has reached Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
For the Nintendo Switch handheld gaming system, the game is available in Korea, Hong Kong, Europe, Australia, and America. It has gained global access on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Open World of Kampung Durian Runtuh
As summarized from the official website, Upin & Ipin Universe game presents everyday life in an open-world, where the two main characters interact with their family and playmates. The atmosphere of Kampung Durian Runtuh is faithfully recreated just like in the animation. Players are free to explore all areas on the map, from visiting Tok Dalang's house, playing at Sekolah Tadika Mesra, stopping by Uncle Muthu's shop, and other locations in the residential and paddy field landscapes.
Players will be presented with a number of challenges and interactive missions involving various characters from the Upin Ipin animation. In its trailer, players were given a sneak peek at a mission to make fried chicken, Upin and Ipin's favorite food.
This game supports the use of three main languages: Indonesian, Malay, and English. With flexible language options, this game can be enjoyed by players from various backgrounds in Southeast Asia and the global market.
