
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The duel between the Indonesia U-23 national team and Malaysia U-23 will be presented in the final match of group A in the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup. The match will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on Monday, July 21, 2025.
The coach of the Indonesia U-23 national team, Gerald Vanenburg, made several rotations. He fielded goalkeeper Cahya Supriadi to replace Muhammad Ardiansyah, who played in the previous match. He will be guarded by four parallel defenders, namely Kadek Arel Priyatna, Kakang Rudianto, Alfharezzi Buffon, and Dont Tri Pamungkas.
Three midfielders will play in the midfield: Robi Darwis, Rayhan Hannan, and Toni Firmansyah. They will be the suppliers of the ball to the front trio consisting of Rahmat Arjuna, Victor Dethan, and Jens Raven.
In the Malaysian team, coach Mohd Nafuzi Bin Mohammad Zain made several changes. Under the goalpost, he fielded Zulhilmi Bin Sharani. The formation in the back line remains unchanged from the match against Brunei. He fielded Ubaidullah Shamsul, Ahmad Asyar Shapri, Muhammad Aiman Nabil, and Muhammad Shafizan.
In the midfield and forward lines, Nafuzi made changes. He retained Haykal Danish, Haqimi Azim, and Ziad Norhisham in the midfield. Fergus Tierney will support them in midfield, and Muhammad Yuslan will support them in the forward line.
