TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Arsenal emerged victorious in the London derby, defeating Chelsea 2-1 in Matchweek 3 of the 2026/27 Premier League season at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

The Gunners fell behind to a Morgan Rogers goal but rallied to win thanks to strikes from Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.

Arsenal sit second in the standings with nine points, level with league leaders Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Chelsea occupy fourth place with six points from three matches, according to the Premier League website.

Chelsea stunned Arsenal just two minutes into the match. Rogers received a pass at the edge of the penalty area before firing an accurate shot into the left side of David Raya's goal, giving Chelsea a 1-0 lead.

Arsenal attempted to respond by increasing the pressure. The Gunners thought they had scored through Riccardo Calafiori in the 12th minute after pouncing on a rebound, but the goal was disallowed by VAR due to an offside in the build-up.

Arsenal's pressure finally paid off in the 25th minute. Kai Havertz broke through the Chelsea defense after receiving a precise pass.

The German forward then fired a shot into the bottom right corner to level the score at 1-1.

Chelsea nearly regained the lead before halftime. Pedro Neto beat two Arsenal players and shot from the edge of the box, but the ball struck the left post.

Arsenal took the initiative immediately after the break. Odegaard put the hosts ahead in the 50th minute.

Receiving a well-timed pass during a quick attack, the Arsenal captain unleashed a powerful shot into the top of the net to make it 2-1.

Chelsea tried to claw their way back. Malo Gusto found space at the edge of the box in the 61st minute, but his shot sailed over the crossbar.

Two minutes later, Chelsea created another chance through Cole Palmer. Palmer received a pass inside the box and fired immediately, but David Raya managed to save the effort. The Blues kept pushing until the final minutes. Estavao tried his luck with an individual effort before firing a shot from the edge of the penalty area in the 89th minute.

Raya once again shone, making a save to deny the attempt.

Arsenal ultimately managed to hold onto their lead until the final whistle. The Gunners won 2-1, securing nine points from three matches.

Line-ups:

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): David Raya; Ben White, Ezri Konsa, Gabriel Magalhaes, Riccardo Calafiori; Declan Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly; Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Christos Tzolis; Kai Havertz.
