TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Plataran Boga Rasa will build two luxury restaurants in Indonesia's prospective new capital, the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), as part of its strategic cooperation with the IKN Authority. The company had inked a Land Utilization Agreement with the agency responsible for the government project at the IKN Authority Office on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
IKN Authority Chief Basuki Hadimuljono said Plataran will develop two restaurants in the strategic areas of IKN, namely land parcels (Persil) 1A and 1B. Teras Hutan IKN by Plataran, a modern restaurant offering a typical Indonesian culinary experience in the midst of an open green park, will be built on a 2,094 square meter land in Persil 1A.
"Meanwhile, we will develop a similar restaurant but in a larger and more flexible area on over 12,000 square meters of land," Basuki was quoted as saying in a written statement on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Basuki said the initial construction will begin this year, signifying a legal certainty for potential investors. "Hopefully, this cooperation will continue to progress smoothly," he said.
Basuki added that this collaboration will elevate the culinary sector as one of the main attractions in IKN. The presence of these restaurants is expected to attract tourists and investors to enter the new capital city, which is located in East Kalimantan.
"With the presence of two luxury restaurants featuring local cultural characteristics, Plataran plays a role in realizing the vision of IKN as a city that integrates modern progress with the richness of Indonesian traditions," Basuki said.
