TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - The Prambanan Jazz Festival 2025 is set to take place from July 4-6, 2025. This highly anticipated music event will feature an impressive lineup, including world-renowned jazz icon Kenny G, Korean singer eaJ Park, Indonesian rock legends Dewa 19 feat. Ello, and the beloved qasidah or Islamic pop music group Nasida Ria.

The 11th Celebration: "Eleven Harmonies"

As its name suggests, the Prambanan Jazz Festival will be held for the eleventh time at the majestic Prambanan Temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, continuing a tradition that began in 2015. Under the theme "Sebelas Selaras" or "Eleven Harmonies," this year's festival celebrates the profound synergy between music, nature, and culture.

Prambanan Jazz proves that modern music can beautifully intertwine with cultural heritage, acting as a strategic cultural diplomacy event that introduces Indonesia's rich heritage to a global audience.

"Not only international musicians, Prambanan Jazz also presents national musicians across generations, from music legends to young talents as an embodiment of diversity and creativity," said Anas Syahrul Alimi, Founder of Rajawali Indonesia, the promoter of the Prambanan Jazz Festival, at the Artotel Yogyakarta Hotel on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

To further strengthen the "Eleven Harmonies" concept, the festival is collaborating with the Yogyakarta artist duo Indieguerillas. They will present a unique art installation inspired by the relief of the Tree of Life found at Prambanan Temple, symbolizing the profound harmony between humans and nature.

Embracing its role as a festival that grows with the community, Prambanan Jazz also collaborates with local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), providing platforms for culinary, craft, and creative products. This initiative offers tangible support for the regional economy.

"Prambanan Jazz Sebelas Selaras is not just a music concert, but a cross-cultural meeting space that raises pride in ancestral heritage, while also driving the wheels of the regional economy," Anas Alimi added.

He anticipates an audience of approximately 60,000 people, who will witness how music, a historical cultural space, and society synergize to create a magnificent and harmonious atmosphere. More than just a celebration, Prambanan Jazz is evolving into a cultural destination through its music festival.

eaJ Park Expresses Gratitude

eaJ Park, who was present at the media meeting, expressed his happiness and enjoyment while performing in Indonesia. He specifically admired Indonesian culture and felt honored to perform in the Prambanan Temple area.

"I am very flattered and I feel very blessed," said the singer, who is currently based in Canada. He is also known for often encouraging Indonesian netizens during major events in the country.

He committed to delivering his best performance and ensured that everyone who attends his set will have an unforgettable night. He also shared that he had been preparing for his Prambanan Jazz performance for three months.

Anas further highlighted that the presence of international artists indirectly promotes Indonesia's culture and historical heritage. "We don't need to pay the artist to post Prambanan Temple. He is enough as a performer, posting, without having to pay a lot. Prambanan Temple is increasingly known to the world because of the posts of global artists who have millions of followers," he explained.

Tovic Raharja, President Director of Rajawali Indonesia, added that the Prambanan Jazz Festival has a broad economic impact. This year, with 60,000 people expected to attend the music performance at the heritage location, "Many people from outside the city have an extraordinary economic impact," Tovic affirmed.
