TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. successfully completed its 2025 Hajj flight operations with a cumulative on-time performance (OTP) rate of 96.2 percent as of Friday, July 11, 2025.

"This is the highest OTP achievement in the last three years of Hajj operations conducted by Garuda Indonesia," said Garuda Indonesia President Director Wamildan Tsani in a statement issued in Jakarta on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

During the return phase of this year’s Hajj operations, Garuda Indonesia recorded a 96 percent OTP from Balikpapan, Banda Aceh, and Lombok. Medan achieved a perfect score with a 100 percent on-time rate.

Wamildan also noted that the airline had reached an OTP of 96.4 percent during the departure phase. In comparison, Garuda’s overall OTP in 2024 stood at 77.6 percent, while in 2023 it was 84.92 percent.

He attributed the improvement in this year’s performance to collaboration across all operational divisions, describing it as a result of comprehensive and ongoing enhancements in service quality and schedule reliability.

He also acknowledged the important contributions of cabin and cockpit crews, technicians, Hajj staff, and ground personnel, all of whom he said had delivered their best efforts.

“We also highly appreciate the strong synergy with stakeholders, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Transportation, airport authorities, regulators, and our ground and air service partners,” Wamildan said.

The return phase of the Hajj flights concluded with the arrival of group 94 from the Solo embarkation point, carrying 353 pilgrims on flight GA-6494, which landed at Adi Soemarmo International Airport at 04:10 AM local time on Friday, July 11, 2025. Group 95 had landed minutes earlier, at 03:56 AM.

Wamildan emphasized that the completion of this year’s operations reflects Garuda Indonesia’s commitment to delivering safe and comfortable air travel.

“This year’s success is not only an operational milestone but also a testament to the spirit of all Garuda Indonesia personnel in providing meaningful service,” he said.

Looking ahead, he added, the airline will continue to push for transformation through consistent improvements and innovation to uphold the highest service standards as Indonesia’s flag carrier.
