BMKG Weather Forecast: Rain to Fall on Parts of Jakarta and Surrounding Areas

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in most parts of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) will be mostly cloudy on Sunday morning, July 6, 2025. There is a potential for heavy rain from noon to night in several metropolitan areas.

Based on the latest 24-hour weather forecast from BMKG, light rain is likely to fall in parts of West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta at 7:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time). The Thousand Islands are likely to experience light rain for a short duration at 10:00 AM WIB, before it returns at 4:00 PM WIB.

Generally, the temperature in Jakarta is expected to range from 24-29 degrees Celsius. The wind speed in this area is between 2-18 kilometers per hour.

In West Java, light to moderate rain is expected in Bogor Regency from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. At the same time, light rain is also expected in Bogor City. There is also a potential for light rain in Depok City, Bogor Regency, and Bogor City, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM WIB. The daily lowest temperature in Bogor Regency is around 18 degrees Celsius, lower than the temperature in other Jabodetabek areas.

The weather in Banten province at the end of this weekend is also likely to be mostly cloudy, especially in the morning. There are no reports yet on the prediction of rain in Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City. The temperature in these three areas ranges from 23-32 degrees Celsius.
